Every year around easter, hundreds of hitchhikers travel from Britain to either Prague, Croatia or even Morocco. The participants acquire sponsors before the event, that support the annually altering cause. In the previous 17 years, more than 4.400 hitchhikers collected several hundred thousand Euros to finance educational projects in Africa. Most probably one of the oldest and biggest hitchhiking race in Europe!

Not only the descriptions of the exotic places he visited make the book a must-read, but also his personal development over time and his view of the world. While the book is out of print, you can once in a while find a used copy online.
