Zwei Wochen per Anhalter durch Europa. Warum?

Oh man cuz it's the best. We are on beastmode once on the road and loving the experience. It's a blast, eco-friendly, cheap and did I say it's a blast already?! Two weeks isn't enough though. We look forward to meeting awesome people, seeing great places and party like a Rockstar until we return to our sleeping bag off course.

Warum sollte ein_e Fahrer_in gerade uns mitnehmen?

Regardless which route we will end up being on. We can tell our lifts a lot about the countryside and villages/cities we will pass. We also would invite them to play a game of flunky ball inside the car, a game we are unbeaten in. .

I gotta say our whole Corse-experience was tha bomb. A highlight was the race driver in his convertible listening to loud rock and metal who gave us a lift at a beautiful coastal highway.

This is the last point of a blog I recently read. I sent it to my three friends I went to Corse with last year and told them, "If anything of this applies to you, we weren't on the same trip last summer". Here is what it says: Start noticing how wealthy you are right now. – Henry David Thoreau once said, “Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.” Even when times are tough, it’s always important to keep things in perspective. You didn’t go to sleep hungry last night. You didn’t go to sleep outside. You had a choice of what clothes to wear this morning. You hardly broke a sweat today. You didn’t spend a minute in fear. You have access to clean drinking water. You have access to medical care. You have access to the Internet. You can read. Some might say you are incredibly wealthy, so remember to be grateful for all the things you do have. At one point in Toulon (on our way home from Corse) we didn't have any of these to us basic needs (we can't read French). At all the other stages of the trip, we only had a few of these needs. I guess you can live without a few of these needs for some time and we had a great time in Toulon (and everywhere else). But when you return home you learn to appreciate a bed, always food, always clean water, always medical help... again. Back home I needed to "recharge" my battery, something which and unimagineable amount of people are never able to. I don't want to put our experience to an equation of real poor people. It's just a comparision, because they always live without our, everybody's! basic needs. To me it's important to take the first step in many different directions. You can't work on all fronts though, but you need to be good at what you try to improve.
